People who have natural red hair look beautiful, but when you inherit the same because of iron and rust deposits, your hair looks ugly.

How to Remove Iron and Rust from Hair
-There are popular rust removal shampoos and conditioner in the market, which reduce the orange tint. The usage varies from product to product and one should make sure to read the instructions, before applying the product.
-Rinse your hair with a mixture of vinegar, added with some cream of tartar. Leave it for about 10 minutes and rinse with cool water.
-Another option is to use lemon juice. Apply lemon juice on your hair, leave for 10-15 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
-Mix baking soda with your shampoo. Use this to wash the hair and then rinse with water. Make sure to use a conditioner later on.

Preventive Measures
The remedies provided in the above lines would lessen the redness primarily. However, the problem will tend to continue, unless and until proper preventive measures are taken. Some of them have been mentioned below.
-Get a water purifier for your home or change the water pipes
-Do not use excessive chemicals and avoid experimenting a lot with the use of machines on your hair.
-Do not let your hair remain wet for a long time, as the reaction between iron and water cause rust to occur
